Synthesizer Jam: Modern Talking (Part 2)

children : Synthesizer Jam: Modern Talking (Part 2)

In the first part of the story about the history of the group, we told how it was born and what led to its disintegration.

The nineties were typical of the fact that the bosses of record companies all invited musicians to resume their duet. But Dieter did not want to hear about anything like that yet.

Return to the stage

Together again

But this lasted exactly as long as things were going well with him. When his financial situation fell below the plinth, then he thought about how to return to the development of a gold mine.

At first, he summoned Thomas, supposedly for a casual conversation. There he touched on the topic of trying to revive the old duet. Thomas reacted rather vaguely, saying why someone needs them now ">

Back For Good is becoming a bestseller. The group’s seventh album took second place in the world charts! However, he, as one would expect, was good not so much from a musical point of view, but from a nostalgic one. There were only four new songs, and the old fans were interested in just the new songs, and not hackneyed to the holes. However, Bolen always focused on a youth audience.

Soon, Bolen was ordered the anthem for the World Cup. There, he successfully disgraced himself by literally tearing at the first two measures of The Final Countdown. But since, according to the law, only four distorted measures are considered plagiarism, from this point of view Dieter was absolutely clean, and this affected the sales of discs in the most positive way.

So when will there be something new?

Nostalgia is good, solidly made old - too, but new is still newer. Therefore, fans were waiting for the next album in order to at least discover an abundance of fresh compositions on it. The difficulty for the team was that it was necessary to conquer both old fans and recruit new ones. However, the single "You Are Not Alone" coped with this quite successfully.

The musicians did not immediately understand that business and personal life should be separated.

He lasted almost twenty weeks on the European chart. Although, who knows, maybe, really, it was all a matter of the good old feeling of fondness of the fans for their own youth, and the converts were really interested in the music of the ancestors' dinosaurs. Not the ancestors of the dinosaurs - this is to the Beatles, namely the idols of their parents.

And then everything went in such a knurled way that there is no desire to describe in detail. And all because the musicians realized that, nevertheless, business and personal life should be separated. So they lasted five years. It can be said even longer than the first time. Dieter again said that it was time to cover the bench, and that further he and Thomas would go through life in different ways.
